Abstract

The implant surface treatments and designs has been improved, the use of osseointegrated implants has became an predictable treatment for the replacement of missing teeth in fully and partially edentulous patients. For the success of implant prosthesis, many dentists always makes an effort to establish treatment plan, diagnosis and assessment on implant site. But adjacent teeth to edentulous area were often overlooked in diagnosis stage. Further endodontic or periodontal treatment was required to adjacent teeth. For success in the long-term, it is important to evaluate the endodontic and periodontal status of the teeth near the implant site when making a comprehensive treatment plant and a follow up checks for an implant.
